After Level Question
Ok, so today I finally got around to installing my 3 inch level from Motofab. Everything went great using the new info I got on installing these. I didn't even have to undo the break lines. I disconnected the steering knuckle and sway bar link and then took off the bolts that connect the lower control arm to the frame. This lowered the lower control arm enough to get out and re-install the strut without trying to remove the bolts pressed in to the bottom of the strut (2014). After the install I did notice a few things that I need you guys to help me with. First, there's a slight grinding/rubbing noise as I drive over 15 miles an hour. I'm thinking maybe I bent the brake shield or something? It's dark now and I can't see anything. Second, is it just me or is there some type of resistance as you drive? It just seems I have to press on the gas more to drive the same speed than before. Probably just me but I'm asking. Any help will be appreciated. I'm hoping somebody on here ran into the same issues after a level install.
Check your axles and make sure they are seated correctly. Long story short, I had the same issue when I installed mine (same kit) and I even thought it was the brake shield as well. Mine went away after I grenaded my axle housing while towing up my driveway (16degree incline) and had to drop it into 4 low while on the hill. Not a smart idea but that's another story. I ended up having my axles replaced and the noise went away and hasn't been back.
Full disclosure though, it is my wife's truck and I was never able to confirm if the sound was there before or after the install. If it was there before, it definitively got worse after the install. The leveling kits add more angle to the front axles which can make them ware out faster. If not installed correctly or if they were already starting to go out, lifting/leveling is now putting more stress on them.
Part 2 of your question, no I did not notice any lag or resistance after installing.
Good luck.

Thanks buddy, much appreciated. Tomorrow I'll try to put the truck in 4 high and 4 low and see what happens. I'm thinking it may be the actuators now but I'll know more tomorrow.
Why is it discouraged? Problems with the UCA? Would an aftermarket UCA fix the problem?
I’ve got a 3” front / 2” rear Motofab leveling kit but been hesitant to install it on my 14 Screw, 2WD due to conflicting information. For $100 bucks, I figured it was worth a try and I’d have a set of aftermarket UCA’s on the workbench if needed. Some say the Motofab kit works great. Others say no.

Because I've read more on other sites where folks had the same year truck as me and have no issues with it after 30,000 miles so far. If my parts wear out quicker than I'll have them replaced, but for some reason the noise was gone this morning and I hope it doesn't come back.
Thursday morning I have an appointment at the tire shop to put on some Cooper STT Pro's in 295/65/20. Cooper is about the only brand available over here in 35+ sizes (Germany). You can special order some other brands, but the price gets ridiculous.
Anyways, I'll post again after the tires are on and provide a pic of the lift and tires. I'll also post if something goes wrong caused by the lift over time. Thanks again everybody.
