I loved my '08 Sierra, but I didn't like the constant oil consumption issues with the engine. That's why I'm in a Ford again right now. No major problems to date with the Eco.

It would be interesting to find out WHY GM put the steering wheel off center.

I'd like to hear a GM designer answer that.

THe only reason I can come up with, is that, it's more out of the way when you want to get the hell out !!!!!!

I wonder if the off-center appearance is a result of an ultra-wide angle photo being corrected in software.

Congrats on your new truck, each person had their own preference. After working for a company with a fleet of GM trucks and vans I can't even think of owning one. Nothing but electrical issues, oh, and exhaust manifolds that rot off or snapped the mounting bolts. I just bought a new '14 ecoboost, but was very sorely tempted by the dodge ecodiesel. I almost went that way but my wife just doesn't like how the dodges look, and the few dodges we had at work had a lot of rear end problems. Oh, and they all rotted out within a few short years. So stuck with my f150. I did have a Sierra work truck for a while, and I did like it a lot for comfort and driveability. However it felt really small for some reason. I think it blew the exhaust manifold off too if I remember right.

This ^^^ is probably correct.
You want to make a speedy exit when that sumbitch is on the side of the road in flames.
