..Adios, last post
The OP has a different truck, not necessarily a better truck. But as long as he's happy with it, that's all that matters.
FWIW, I wouldn't buy a Chebby truck newer than a '72 but to each his own
I still miss my '01 2500HD occasionally. 6.0 w/ headers and Gibson catback. It would scare women and small children a county away pulling my 8500 lb. TT up 6% grades at 65 mph in 2nd gear at 5K+ rpm. Got rid of it when I sold that trailer since 11-12 mpg as a daily driver just wasn't very economical. Sold it for $8,500 with almost 150K on the clock and bought a new '12 Tacoma. Nice little truck, but not enough room or power for my taste. Ended up buying another TT and traded the Tacoma for the '12 Ecoboost which I traded for my '13 Ecoboost. The Eco definitely out pulls the 6.0, but it doesn't sound as good doing it.
To each their own. I understand brand loyalty, hence the '12 f150 and the '13 tauras. Both were new purchase after trading in a '07 f150 and an '09mustang. I looked at every brand on the street, but kept driving back to the ford dealer. Nothing else just felt right, drove right, for me. Good luck with your purchase. I have a ton of die hard Chevy friends. It keeps things interesting for all of us. Lol
ive had more problems with this f150 than any other vehicle... however my relationship with the dealer has been over 40+ years.
i just got my f150 back after 2 weeks of them replacing the engine. the mechanic came out and the service advisor both to ask if i was happy. i handed them both gift certificates to local restaurants. they were blown away.
it all depends on your relationship with the dealer... a nice gesture that makes you a person and not a VIN number changes everything.
