FWIW, I wouldn't buy a Chebby truck newer than a '72 but to each his own

It does look like the quality of their interiors have come up since the last one I was in a couple years ago.
Our F150's steering wheel is off center as well. These aren't the only vehicles that have the steering wheel oriented toward the center-line of the vehicle.

Love it, reminds me of my grandpa's old truck. Spent many a Sunday afternoon riding to the creek in that truck to go fishing.

I used to own GM vehicles, stated buying Fords in 05, and glad I did. I never had any big problems out of them, but I only kept them to 9-12k miles, made the mistake of keeping a caddy to 23k, what a POS.

Only mod needed for a GM is a road flare and 5 gallons of gas, of course, that may not be needed as they tend to burn on their own. I for one would be scared of anything that I am told I have to park outside because it may catch fire. How many appliances would any of us buy with that stipulation?

Currently have a 13' F150 FX4, 15' X Sport and a 04' Marauder, no problems as of yet with any of them, I can even park them in the garage......weird....

Good luck to the OP, that is not a trade I myself would have made.

yes, it IS off-center, but not nearly as much as the GMC/Chevy. I recall in my 2004 Yukon how much "off center" the steering wheel was... it bugged me nearly to death, but I got used to it. If I look really closely at my F150, I can see it's not perfectly centered on the driver's seat, but it's VERY close.

I'll admit I look at GMC's sometimes because I like the front ends of the new ones. I look at Ram Trucks too, but after long hard looks I always return to Ford.

You should come by once in awhile and post more pics of your new truck. Good Luck.

Qualify not nearly off center as the GM. What's the actual distance off center with the GM versus Ford?

Scroll down and you will see a picture of a 13 seat and steering wheel. Looking very closely, it appears to be offset towards the passenger side.......but still looks closer than the GM to center of the seat.

Life is short. Get what you want. And if you end up wanting something else. Get that if your pocket allows. Enjoyed my old '81 F100 before family. Enjoyed my old 97 Ford Expedition 4X4 hauling kids. Enjoyed my '08 Toyota Taco. Enjoyed my '08 F150 5.4. And enjoying thus far my 14 F150 5.0. Wish I still had the '81 F100. It had serious "character". Wont even start down the line of cars!
Hmm I just noticed I have a definite slant towards Ford trucks!
Oh well...

Have fun with the GM. I do like the front grill!
