I'm installing 275/60r20 tires on my truck after the first of the year. Along with the larger tires I'd like to add an extra inch in height to the truck and keep the truck from squatting under a load.

So what's the best way to get that extra inch in height?

I was thinking bilsteins shocks up front and an add a leaf or an airbag/blocks combo in the rear. I'd like to keep a slight rake still. Due to the heavy loads I haul sometimes.

I've never lifted any of my trucks and am very inexperienced on this topic

Check out Roadmaster Active Suspension. If you search the forum for "RAS" you will find other members that are using this product. I plan on installing a set on my truck next spring. Here's a link:

I checked out the website. Looks like those would definitely help with the sag. What about adding an Inch of height in the rear? Could I use the RAS and a block?

I have the RAS. I used the thinner (white) gauge coin to set mine, which raised the height at the bottom of the rear wheelwell 7/8 of an inch, and raised the load capacity by 25%. The thicker (black) gauge will raise the rear over an inch and raise the load capacity by 40%. See the thread for the measurement of others trucks.

Bilsteins up front and RAS at the rear will get you where you want to be.

The RAS is REALLY easy to do. The bilstein's require a spring compressor, and a good one at that. Unless you are very good with tools, I would have it done at a shop.

See if there is another group buy going on for the RAS. It made it a lot cheaper.

"Adding an extra inch"

The title sounds like this should be on a Viagra forum.
