Default Adding backup camera for trailer?

Anyone add a backup camera to a trailer and wire it through to work with your existing backup camera setup? If so, what was required and how did you do it?

I'm thinking a Lockpick or something similar may be necessary, but I'm wondering what others have done.

I too was wondering about this... My buddy and I went to Pismo and maneuvering around was a PITA. One of these would be sweet.

Install the camera on the rear of the trailer, and install the camera display to your tailgate so your factory camera "looks" at it!

Thats the redneck solution! But I agree, this would be an awesome addition for those of us that tow.

Lockpick is the only solution I've seen so far

LOL just have to remember to make your turns opposite of what the screen is telling you.

I'm sure I could rig up some sort of mirror box to make the image correct!

Maybe get your wife back there to "tell" you which way to turn? We would possibly have a case of two wrongs actually making a right!

I'm working on this as we speak. a Backup camera as normal at rear of truck. A trailer camera for monitoring and a front camera on demand.

What are you doing? Are you building something to sell? If so, sign me up.

I'll probably check out the Lockpick, but after watching the installation video I have doubts. Not in the capabilities of the unit, but doubts about whether my dash will ever be free of rattles and popping noises once it's back together.

I already mentioned something to the RV dealer and he said they have wireless and wired cameras for the trailers. I just want something that integrates with my truck without a bunch of extra screens and other crud hanging around the interior.
