My 2011 gives a coolant smell whenever I step on the gas. I had almost 8k on it already and it hasn't yet gone away. Any idea what the issue it?

In both causes you are still covered by your warranty, right? take it to the dealer and let them deal with it.

36/36 warranty so first one is out but if he has a good relationship with dealer they may help.

Thanks guys, took it to the dealer yesterday, they said it was the condensor, and wanted to charge me $741.00, I said no, and that i was upset, service manager came over and said, let me see what I can do. about an hour later he called and told me he was treating it as if I had an extended warranty and I only had to pay $100.00. I was extremly happy, but now I am wondering if the first was clear case of dealer rip off...

I don't think a service manager could " treat it like an extended warranty" even if they wanted to.
There is accounting to do!
Maybe they had a "keep pissed off customer happy account".
Some smoke was being blown one way or the other.
I had a dealer try and charge me $300 for a repair that was under TSB and should have been no cost.
With economy so bad there is no shortage of folks looking tho make a buck anyway they can.....

P.s. IMOHO, brake jobs are the biggest rip offs ever unleashed on mankind.

Was it a clogged condensor or a bad condensor? I can't see a condensor going out after such short time in which case they were pulling your leg, a clogged condensor is as easy as just spraying with a cleaner, soaking it and then power washing it. Do you do a lot of dirt road driving?

Thanks, I dont do any off road driving, strickly highway they "supposedly" ordered the part, and I am taking it in today for the repair, but I can honestly say it feels like it is working again, I know it is blowing colder than it was. I am going to ask for the old part back just to make sure that they arent trying to pull a fast one. I am also going to measure the discharge temp before I take it in there to see. I can tell you that if they did try to pull the fast one, it will be the last time I take it there.
