I'm not 100% but I've read stacking blocks is a bad idea. Better to remove stock block and add a 3"

I am researching this now and it seems stacking blocks is a bad idea. Perhaps it is not if you are just adding an additional 1" block on top....don't know still reading.

I just want this done correctly and in the best manner possible.

I added the 5100s to my FX4 and it is dead level using the 2.25" setting. I had my dealer install them for $220 with an alignment which I thought was a pretty good deal.

It is amazing how much better the trucks look after the lift.

Thats a heck of a deal. My dealer charged 3 hrs labor plus alignment. Almost $400 total.

Does this sound right? It's going on a 2013 FX4 which I thought if you only put the front bilstein struts at 2.25" and bilsteins shocks on the back at 0" the truck would sit level.
I have a 2013 xlt 4x4. I just installed a front set on the highest setting. It looks dead level to the eye. I measured it on as level of ground I could find and it's about a 1/16th to an 1/8th high in the front. Your eye will not see that. It's level. My plans are to put airbags for towing to keep her level. If you do an add a leaf or bigger block, it will be raked again. Good luck.

Sorry if this has been asked already I have a 2012 Platinum 4x4 I really like the way it rides. Like a Caddy. I want to put the 5100 all around to level. I was wondering if at all! How much it changed the ride from factory shock/strut. Thanks for any input.

From what I have gathered it makes it a little stiffer but would be better for offroad use. It supposed to handle a little better, not nosedive when breaking and hugs the curves a little better. I have only seen very few people who didn't like it but everyone is different.

It won't ride like a caddy. It's a firmer, more controlled feel. They put the driver more in touch with the road and don't become overwhelmed as much in washboard type terrain. If you want to maintain your current ride, get a spacer.

I have the same set up as the white truck with the black wheels on page 1. 1.75" setting (2nd from the top). Have not installed the 3" block yet but my truck is dead level right now. 275/65/20 Terra Grapplers.

I sort of cheaped out and put Skyjacker Nitro 8000 shocks on the rear (they were $45 each, 5100s were a little over $100 each).

You will notice a much improved ride with the Bilsteins. The truck feels much more planted. Steering responce is much better as well. The ride is stiffer but in a good way.

Definatly not a rake like the guy is telling you. I love mine i did all 4 (rears not adjustable). Front super plush. I ordered some deaver springs for the rear to get the rear as plush as the front, i have nothing negative to say about the front now but i may end up selling my brand new 5100's and my roadmaster active suspension settup if i can find a good deal on some upper arms and midtravel coilovers

BTW at the ht i chose the front way 1/2" higher then rear. Added the RAS for axel wrap fix and it just so happened to raise the rear 1". So my truck sits exactly how i want right now. Rear 1/2" to 1" higher than front
I have the exact same configuration including the RAS.
Love the way it sits now.
