The problem is the software.
Was hoping there was a way to turn it off.

I can Bluetooth my phone in my Kia.
Know its a different mfg. And don't have all this talking stuff to listen to.

If you turn it on, it will never say anything. If you leave it off, it says that instead of reminding you that when your airbags deploy as you leave the road and head into the trees, not visible from the road, the car will dial 911 for you so that you can be brought to the hospital and treated against your will with your tax dollars when you refuse to pay.

Thank you. But I'd rather it not call anybody.
Let that be my decesion. Not anybody elses

I have great insurance and my Hospital visit or stay will be free.
Just do not want a Radio talking to me everytime I get in the truck.

lol. I was gonna say something similar. Even if you may not want to call 911 in an emergency, God for bid I have a major accident I like the fact that the truck will auto call 911. If I got knocked out or something. That's my 2 cents.

This can't be a serious thread can it? I'll take my chances with "the man" coming to save my *** when I'm upside down in a creek and my phone is nowhere to be found, yes I know it has to be connected to the truck to call. It's either you turn it on or live with the voice that must remind you of an ex or something.

Sorry Guys.
I ride a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Haven't asked anybody to save my life.
I want to make my own choices.
It is to my wished that I do not want 911 called period.
And yes I'm serious.
If its a joke to you, that I have my freedom to make my own choices than I'm sorry.

So your choices are.
A. Turn on 911 assist and god forbid you be in a accident and it call 911 and save your life when no one else is around.

B. turn off 911 assist and get the message that probably last all of 5 seconds.

C. Turn off Bluetooth and have neither of the above issues but not have hands free calling.

D. Turn off Bluetooth and buy a aftermarket hands free calling device of some kind.
