Front ratio is the same and is most certainly open. It's extremely rare when the front isn't open like the h3 hummer you can get a e-locker and I think there might have been some random older vehicle that had something up front but I can't think of it right now.

The front gearset is probably around a 3.53. They have to a little different from the rear for making turn's. Just a guess!

If you wanted the front to slightly over drive the rear you would have to get custom cut gears.
The last time I saw a rig set up with an overdrive front gear set was on a 1/8 scale gas radio control buggy.

Yeah... its 3.55 and open. Traction is handled by the traction control system though, so it won't act like an open diff while the traction control system is active.

Thanks for the answers. Guess in a slickery situation I could also apply some brake to help lock in both? Have not had a issue yet nor been close to stuck. But I do get into some nasty fields getting hay.

I took mine mudding yesterday. Turned the traction control off, which turned on the off light on the dash. Then while tryin to get out of the sticky stuff, another traction control light right beside it kept flashing.....Is there a 2nd traction system or what?

Yes. To turn off hold down for 5 seconds it will flash when it's done correctly.
