I think I got what your saying... By using a 5-pin relay versus a 4-pin, my switch would function as it should. I could also run a 12v "accessory" wire to terminal 86; and a 12v 25 amp power to terminal 30. When the ignition is off, there shouldn't be any current draw.
Yes, but you would need to run a switched "accessory" to pins 86 and 30 to completely kill power when the ignition is off. If you leave 30 on a constant hot, then when you turn off the ignition, power will be killed to 86, which will de-energize the coil and the relay's switch circuit will return to rest, which is closed for the NC (87a) contact. You will be left with a completed circuit sending power to the locker, engaging it.
Just a follow-up/update. Rear end is installed! I've got it all wired up fine, though not limited to the 30 mph (or whatever it is) limitation--I can actually have the e-locker locked for however long and however fast I want, but not that I would want to. So far, I've learned at highway speeds that I'm about 5 mph less than what my speedo reads, but am soon going to have the TCM flashed to recognize the 3.73 vs the 3.55.
If anyone else plans to do this swap, know this--you need to swap out your drive shaft too! There is about an inch-and-a-quarter difference in the drive shaft lengths, and it makes a difference! My wife will tell you the same thing: that inch-and-a-quarter matters!!
I ended up getting a Dorman 2 piece driveshaft, and believe me, what a cinch to install. Sure beats that one piece POS we have with the "permanent" center carrier bearing.
Towing makes a BIG difference. I used to tow our 5th wheel camper in the "tow/haul" mode with the 3.55, but completely forgot about engaging it on our last trip. Didn't notice until more than half way to our destination, and still never engaged it.
One thing I do want to emphasize----!
I've worked on cars & trucks most of my life; I've even built our own teardrop camper (now sold), and a street legal reverse trike (think T-Rex). I know the mechanics of how things work. HOWEVER-- don't get overly excited over the new parts that arrive at your door that you forget the basics before starting your project!! PUT ON THE EMERGENCY BRAKE before swapping the driveshaft! Don't ask me how I know, but it's a good thing we planned on putting in a new fence soon regardless. Don't forget the basics!!

Switch is the stock switch that would have come with my truck if I originally had an e-locker. Pulled the coin holder and popped in the switch. Three wires off the back of it; dash lights, ground, and a "switched ground", which is normally "closed".
