Default 2014 Sony Sub

Hello to all. I have a 2 part subwoofer upgrade question. I am going to replace the factory sub in my 2014 FX2 with a double ended Bazooka that I had in my 2012 FX2. My truck has the Sony/My touch/ Nav system. My 2012 did not have a factory sub so I wired up a LOC behind the HU. First question, does anybody know the polarity of the wires that come out of the floor for the factory sub? I'd like to wire my LOC there. Second question, is there a keyed power wire located in the wire harness under the floor trim panel for the right rear door? I also had this wired from behind the HU on the 2012 but would really like to stay away from having to remove the HU. Thanks in advance to all.

Default Update - New information.

I just looked at the harness for my Bazooka and noticed that it accepts both RCA and line level inputs. With the line inputs, I can bypass the LOC correct? Also, which would be a better connection? Does anybody know where I can get the pigtail that is on the factory sub? I don't want to cut the one I have.

It will probably be easiest to use the line inputs that were feeding the old sub. I don't think there are any low-level outputs on that system that you could grab for the input of the new sub/amp combo. By LOC I assume you mean a line out converter that would give you low-level RCA outs? If so you would not need it and I would just use the line inputs to freed the amp. A low level RCA input will always be the 'best' quality rather than using an already amplified feed to 're-create' a low-level input. But, I don't that that's an option here.

You will not be able to reuse any part of the SONY Sub Wiring harness. You will have to run all new lines.

For Power, you will need to run a new line to the + accessory connection under the hood, and find a good ground for the -.

For Line input, you will need to tap into the front passenger speaker as the signal to the rear speakers is not strong enough to trigger the sub.

The install would be similar to replacing the SONY with the Kicker sub, there are plenty of threads on that in here. a quick search should return step by step instructions on how to tap into that speaker

What do you mean "trigger"? As in for the remote turn on?

That's not going to be a problem. This type of amp requires a keyed source for remote turn on. So does anyone know the polarity of the wires?

To the OP, if you haven't already read the thread on the Pioneer TS-SW2002D2 8" subwoofer, I'd suggest you do that before buying anything for your 2014. Several of us did buy and install that sub but in the end concluded that while its a quality product, no improvement compared to stock due to lack of sufficient power from FoMoCo amp to drive the Pioneer at intended design parameters. As its said, YMMV...

Sorry guys, not trying to be rude but we are straying off my original questions. I already have the sub. It is a great piece. Nice and compact. I replaced the original drivers with Rockford Fosgate 8" subs when I had it in my 2012. I do not want to remove the HU to wire in my LOC so I was hoping someone would know the polarity of the wires that come out of the floor to the Sony sub so that I can get sound from there. Also, I would like to tap into a keyed source (if there are any) from the harness located under the right rear door floor trim panel for the remote turn on.

Those are some people that have replaced the SONY sub with different other subs, very similar to what you are installing, might be helpful, take a look.
