2013 Sync 2 to 2017 Sync 3 Conversion Attempted

I haven't seen this but if you know a vehicle it worked in maybe get the VIN and look up the As-built data to see what is different? I admit this is one annoying thing about using Android Auto or Carplay.
I asked this is the other (huge) forscan thread, but didn't get any response....anyone know if it's possible to get the circular overlay for climate temp changes? I get it for volume over all screens (incl android auto), but I can only see the climate temp when I'm directly on a sync screen. My unit is in AA mode nearly all the time so it's kind of cumbersome. I've seen it work in factory sync 3 cars, but my APIM seems isn't configured for it.

I did exactly that but no dice. I believe our FCIM's just lack the logic to prompt the APIM to bring up the overlay.

thanks for all the info. I’m new to this forum since I don’t own a f150 but a focus. I got interested in how you managed to fix the day/night mode via headlight?
i performed a successful sync 1 to sync 2 to sync 3 upgrade on my 2015 focus se and after configuring all the asbuilt data and removing all dtc, the only issue im
having is with the screen mode. It doesn’t switch from day to night.
I will appreciate if you can give me some help

2013 f250 diesel
Anyone on here done a 13 f250? I am kind of lost on choosing the right screen apim combo. I was looking at 17 escape screens. But was curious whether I should get a Sony screen or without Sony? Any advice on which screen to buy would be great thanks

Sony isn't a factor in screen or APIM choice, that's only a programming thing. 13+ super duty takes a recessed screen, not a flat one. Can't remember off the top of my head which models come with an OE sync3 recessed screen, but I believe the one I put in my '13 F150 came out of a fiesta.

i guess I don't understand what you mean by recessed screen. I've attached a picture of my screen. Also I guess i wasnt sure if the Sony thing meant a special amplifyer or something.
