Default 2013 Backup Camera

My 2013 F-150's back up camera cycles through a blue screen, no screen lighting up at all, and a mirrored image. I have taken it to ford and they told me that the camera has gone out and I need to replace the camera and emblem but this will cost me over $1,000 after parts and labor. The display is located in the review mirror and the camera is located in the emblem. Has anyone had anything similar that they found a camera that they have installed for a cheaper price or have any suggestions on what I should do?

Plug-n-play replacement oem camera, -----> F150 OEM Camera replacement Be sure to get the emblem and housing, one or both will break when removing them from the truck. For $250 you can replace it your self.

I replaced the camera on my 2011 Ford F150 and it was easy. Question for all: when I backup the camera works great but the lines don't curve as I turn. Is this the way it is supposed to work or do I need to take in to Ford dealer and get it reprogrammed?

Lines don't curve on a 2011.

Has anyone had any issues removing the connection? I have found where the connection is but I cannot get the connection undone and I don't want to bust the entire connection.

They don’t curve on my ‘14 either.

That said, I’m loving the back up camera. Backing into tight parking spaces is a cinch now.

Now if if I just had the 360* cameras...

Mine got stolen and paid 400 for a new emblem and camera at the dealer. Installed myself.

Only issue is the zoom no longer works.

How do you zoom in?

Would my ‘14 with sync have it?

There's a button on the screen for the zoom. It's at the bottom and looks like a little camera I believe. I never use it, but my 2013 has it.
