I can state, as someone who owns a 2013 XLT without a backup cam, the backup cam is not standard.....I wish it was. I'll be looking for a backup cam/dash cam combo in the future here soon.

 

Say what you will. Matters not to me. My truck came with the cam as shown on the sticker as STANDARD EQUIPMENT.

Why others did not I have no idea.

I bought a new 2013 XLT HDPP 5.0 crew and it didn't come with a backup camera. I installed the Hopkins .

 

My 2014 XLT did not come with one.
Why would it be "standard" on 2013 and not in 2014.

 

 

It comes with the 302A package only, as shown in the order guide which has been posted. No 302A, then no cam. Simple as that. Same scenario for the other Standard (I guess it's cool to make it bold) stuff such as chrome door handles, power slider rear window, power pedals, power seat, trailer brake controller, back up park aid, & MyFord 4.2 screen, (to name only a few) --that ALL XLTs supposedly have based on that logic . All that stuff is tied to some package or option. The Standard section of the window sticker is different on every truck, look & see. Some people realize this is fact, others continue on with their mule-grade stubbornness. It is the internet after all, where fact & BS have a level playing field.

Click the window sticker here. See.....no cam.....no trailer brake controller....no slider....no power seat, etc. Black door handles too. Yet we are told to believe all that other stuff comes standard on ALL XLTs. Peace out, I'll leave it to the experts from here.
