Default 2012 f 150 problem

the truck is stock except for a 2 in. leveling kit that has been on for a while,
Truck has 106,000 miles.

I have a 2012 f 150 Lariat 3.5 that I bought new, Several days ago I got out of the truck and hit the lock button and nothing happened, after several attempts and nothing I opened the door, hit the lock button and it locked. Closed the door and hit the button and it locked. Thought the battery on the key was going bad. When I got back in the truck a few minutes later and thought I had cranked it (the motor is quiet and radio on) I put it in drive and it wouldn't go, realized it wasn't cranked. turned the ignition off and back on and it cranked up. Drove about 30 miles without a problem. A few days later I drove it about 30 miles and when I started back home about half way I stopped at a stop sign and as I was pulling off the truck shut down but started right back up on its on. Yesterday I drove it about 20 miles and I stopped in traffic and when I pushed the gas pedal to start off it was barely moving but the engine was revving high. I pulled over and turned it off and it started right up and no problems rest of the way home.
sorry this is so long.
The truck has been well cared for. I am 74 so I rarely get on it, mainly getting on interstate.
I appreciate any help.

DTCs? Wires connected properly on the interior fuse box?

A low battery or dirty contacts on the remote can do that and I doubt they are related. Have you done any maintenance on the truck?

Check fuse #27 under the hood if it is melted as that can cause stalling issues. See video here:

Another thing I can think of is a bad throttle body. Trucks up to 2014 with the 3.5L had faulty throttle bodies which can cause all sorts of issues.

thanks for the replys. I put about 80 miles on the truck today with no problems. I changed the battery in the key yesterday. In the beginning I thought that could be the problem, but when the engine was revving and the truck was barely moving I thought it was probably something else. I am putting about 80 miles on it tommorrow and if I don't have a problem I will feel a little better.
thanks again

Still check your fuse #27 and see if it is melted.

I think he meant the truck battery. If not, I would suggest it.

I have put about 200 miles on my truck since I changed the battery in my key. I know it sounds crazy and I am not convinced that was the problem, but I am posting so if anyone has these symptoms it might be worth a try. If the problems come back I will post.
thanks for the replies
