2012 ecoboost engine blow
I think you are missing the point: Many people get into our vehicles and run them hard. Few of us run them hard and often. What percentage of truck owners buy a tune? I am going to guess it is less than 1%--way less. I am also going to guess that the same people who get a tune are the same people who run there vehicles way harder than average. In any case many people reasonably conclude that the OP is hard on his truck and may be the cause of his problems. I think your logic is off track.
"Really sells the confidence of most of these egotistical Ecoboost drivers doesn't it. Did his tune grenade it? Maybe....... or maybe it had a defect from day one..... that happens you know.... especially on an assembly line built product."
This makes sense though...Did his tune grenade it... What you are missing is the point that when an owner modifies a vehicle and it goes bad, the manufacturer can legitimately void the warranty

No I nailed it... I made no mention of warranty because I couldn't possibly care less about it. I would rather not have some "Factory Ford Trained" temporary foreign worker with a grade 6 education work on my truck
.. so I don't use warranty.
You have no conclusive evidence of how hard the guy is or isn't on his truck. .. but assumptions run rampant from what little he has posted and removed. My target is the nonsense about towing.. going wide open.. etc. And I don't need to reiterate that.

agree Ford has a long and colourful history. However ford like all other Co. are a business. They will give you half truths and misleading facts (like the fuel economy of this before-mentioned EB) to sell a product. I say buyer beware. If you install any mod on your vech you should be aware that Ford may not honour a warranty. If ford is going to replace this engine having all the facts then perhaps there is a deeper engine flaw issue that they are not being forth coming with. Again they are a business and to remain on top they don't want unhappy customers with blown engines asking serious questions. It would be interesting to see how many owners have had their engines rebuilt under warranty with a similar situation as the OP. Just my thoughts.
