Default 2011 transmission

Still slips when placed in reverse after sitting for two or three days. Is this normal for this tranmission? I have several other vehicles with automatics and none of them does this. Other than this the transmission is smooth as glass. Any comments would be helpful.

Mine will slip in drive after sitting several days. It would probably do the same in reverse, but my garage is a drive thru. But, not everytime. I should mention it to the dealer, but just forgot the last time I was there. If you get any info. please post it here. Thanks for reminding me.

I have noticed mine doing this slightly after sitting. I will mention it to the dealer next service just to have it on the record should this be the sign of a developing transmission problem.

I think I have noticed that my trucks' transmission slips, especially if it was sitting for 24hrs. It's even worse when it is cold out (fluids really thick), which it wasn't bad this year. But I noticed it because as I was traveling down the highway I noticed the RPM's at about 2100 when normally they would sit right about 1600. I don't know much about automatic transmissions but that doesn't seem right. How do you guys tell if the tranny is sliping? Oh and it was in sixth gear too.

I believe several months ago I read that the tranny fluid drains from many areas of the tranny when it sits for a long period. Have you let it idle for a while before driving, or just hop in and go? Maybe try a search or someone else may remember which thread I am talking about.
