Default 2009 TPMS learn

Hello all,

I have been searching this forum but the information is very detailed and my head is starting to spin a little bit from all this reading. The differences in model years, TPMS types, TPMS learning has been overwhelming so I wish to describe my exact situation in hopes that someone can give me a straight answer.

Truck: 2009 F150 Lariat Supercrew 4x4 5.4L 5.5ft bed

Currently sits on stock Lariat wheels.

Sitting in my garage is a set of 22" Strada Denaro rims that need TPMS sensors installed.

What I am looking for is:
1) Where can I get a set of sensors? (will these ebay ones work?) http://www.ebay.com/itm/FORD-OEM-TPMS-SENSORS-SET-4-2009-12-CM5T-1A180-AA-BRAND-NEW-SAME-AS-DEALER-OEM-/121029903862?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c2df1c5f6&vxp=mtr
2) What will the relearn process be for the new sensors? (If there even is one)

Thanks in advance

I bought mine here.

There are cheaper places to buy them now but I have gotten good service from these folks. I installed them into my new wheels and tires and I did nothing to pair them up...paired automatically. To date it has never shown any tpms error codes.

Its an '09...lifespan on tpms is from 5 to 10 years. Ya they could last another 5 years but are already 5 years old. I'd for sure be installing new ones.

good question. I live in "northern" Canada where rolling on wide 22s all year round is a death trap. 4 months of the year I roll on the stock wheels with all seasons.

all my vehicles have a set of winter wheels/tires and a separate set for summer.

I would like to have a set of tpms sensors in the 22s where all i have to do is take off the factory rims, bolt on the 22s, and quickly program the new tpms sensors if required.

Thats what I am doing...factory 20s for summer and ATX 18s for winter, both with tpms. I never do anything to either set. Works like a charm.

It's in your owner's manual.

Don't have one ?

To wrap up this thread... I bought ebay OEM TPMS sensors for $65 USD plus shipping, duty, and exchange rate it came to around $90 CDN. I had them installed in my 22" rims and I put the wheels/tires on the truck. After about 80 km (~50 miles) of mix of city/highway driving I am happy to say that the TPMS light has stayed off.... without ANY programming. I'm hoping that it stays like this for a while.
