Default New speakers - which amp.?

Hi y'all

I have a 2011 Ford F150 Lariat - without the Sony system.

So far I have 2 pairs of Polk Audio DB571 speakers in the front and rear doors.

Which amp. should I install and where should I buy it?

I do not want to add a sub.

Thanks

Paul

You dont need an amp if your just replacing speakers.

If your not installing a new deck I would go with an adapter for your stock deck and run a 4 channel amp that gives you the RMS rating or a tad higher. The stock power off the deck wont even be close to giving the speakers ample power to make them sound clean.

Something that does 50 to 75 per channel would be ideal. Not sure what your budget is but Id look/ask around and buy accordingly.

Rockford fosgate R300-4 is a nice clean sounding low cost amp. It's kinda on the large side. But it will get the job done without killing your wallet. And the power rating is cea 2006 and will come with a birth sheet. Sonicelectronix.com is a good place to start.

Kenwood makes pretty decent, reasonably priced 4 channel amps. I had one in my cherokee, and would gladly trade my current Fosgate for it. Not to say anything negative about Fosgate. I have had many of there amps, and they have all served me well.

Just don't get a Sony.

If I can make another recommendation, definately get an amp with RMS rating above what you will need. Remember that class A-C amplifiers are only about 60 percent efficient, so to get the best sound, you will only want to turn your amps gain setting to just above half.

You can go with the ALPINE MRX-F30 4 channel for $165, Rockford Fosgate Prime R300 for $147, MTX TN400/4 300W 4 CH for $119 or the Kicker ZX350.4.....

I've been a kicker guy for 15yrs now.... Great amps IMO..... I am currently building my new setup without any Kicker Products... Any one those i'd use in my truck...
