Need help. Dirty trigger (remote) wire.

A remote terminal is a relay. If the remote relay inside the amp is damaged, it can cause noise/static/ whatever. Since fuse 23 is the correct fuse to tap, we know the remote source is not the issue. When you bridge the positive wire to the source terminal, there could be enough amperage to fully open the relay and not cause noise. Although the fact that source turn on for your amp is not functioning properly further leads me to believe your amp has a fault. But this is only a guess without actually knowing what amp you have and seeing your power and ground wiring. Lastly, if you've made any stereo forscan changes, also put those back to factory.

Something may have changed in 2019 because when I installed the pioneer mini amp in the dash it would not signal sense. I had to run a remote for that but it works fine. I am really leaning on the fact maybe the jl amp is really sensitive to the 12v it wants to turn on and Ford has changed something.
I havenot not made any forscan changes yet.

You could use that remote wire to trigger a bosch relay. That would provide enough voltage to your remote turn on. Plus the relay would isolate the remote wire from the 12v which you would then use as your remote power on. The relay just requires a 12v in, ground, remote trigger (whatever remote wire you have now), then power out (remote out) to the remote on your amplifier.
Cheap and easy.

Again another reason why I always recommend using relays on my builds.

Problem solved.
I tested the remote wire and it was a solid 12.3 volts. What I found was even though I used a low level converter it was still sending what the JL amp interpurted has a high level input. Switching the amp to dc offset and disconnected the rem allowed proper operation.
Having the remote connected using what I thought was a low level signal while the amp thought is was high level I think is what was causing the remote relay to go nuts.
