Why is it so expensive for these dash kits!? Is there any way around it so i dont have to spend 350-500 on just upgrading the radio?

Where has everyone bought them if they have?

Do you have the Sony radio? The Metra kit for non-Sony is $25.

Makes sense now. I didn't realize the controls are integrated into the panel on that one.

I am in the same boat right now been wanting to upgrade to a double DIN. I have the same dash as you im considering ordering the radio bezel that goes with the OEM navigation hoping that a double din will fit in the opening

it will, and it won't. all the 8" factory bezels i have seen come with dual zone heating and cooling, which is not the same as what is pictured in this thread. there is a thread from a couple years ago that shows how to cut up both bezels and make it work but it takes some skill to do and most don't want to go down that route. there was one version that would be exactly what you want but it was only available on the tremor model and when i researched it a few years back there were only 3 left int he country, and the dealers could only order it if you have one that was broken to serve as a core piece.
