Default Bazooka BTA8100 or BTA6100

Hi,

Does anyone know if either of these will fit behind the rear seat of a 2018 Super Cab XLT?

Thanks!

I imagine it will not. You will need 10" of horizontal space between the back wall and back of the rear seat. Definitely go measure that area.

Thanks. I wish I could measure it, but I have not yet been able to pull the latch behind the seat back to get access to the space. I don’t think there is space enough either. Possibly for the 6.5 inch one.

I used an 18mm box wrench to give me enough length to pull the latch. Apparently there's a nylon pull tab that fell off the release mechanism. The mechanism is in the middle of the bracket, not on the left outside like the videos show and the SuperCab doesn't move forward allowing a little more room. I should make a video....I did reattach the pull tab but it wouldn't work and a pain to reach.

A video would be awesome. I’ve been trying to grab and pull anything I can touch on the left. I’m going to try to loop a paracord around it today and see if that works. I immediately (and sadly) noticed the super cab doesn’t move to make extra space like the crew cabs do.

Once I get it down, I’m going to rig it up so I never have to fight it again.

I'll make a video on my truck this afternoon but check out this video. I found them very entertaining to watch and provides detailed information on components and installation. The F-150 starts around 9 mins:

interesting and entertaining. I wish it showed where they put the Bazooka.
