Anyone put 2" speakers in A-pillar or dash?

The Helix tweeter can be rotated in any direction. The Focal 3" mid points pretty much straight across. I wanted to keep them as low profile as possible so I didn't worry too much about aiming them. This was my first attempt at fibreglassing and it turned out a good as I could have expected. I watched a lot of videos online and took my time (took the better part of a week working a few hours a night after work).

I've thought about it, but I have quite a few projects going already. I need to replace the intake manifold on my 2003 F-150 and I'm about 20% complete on a full (DIY) tear-out/remodel of my entire house. I don't even have drywall except for the bathroom, and my new windows arrived last week (which I've yet to frame for).

Hi,
I'm planning to do a three way active up front and am considering putting the tweets and mids in the sail panels and a-pillars.
My question, will this type of setup interfere with the a-pillar air bags?
Thanks,
Danny

tenx82,
There is another option. parts-express.com offers a 3" balanced mode radiator that will surface mount to the door panel and clear the glove box when it is opened. Since the cone is flat its performance does not appear to be negatively affected by its close proximity to the dash. The location I used was directly above the factory speaker grill just forward of the door lock switch. If you look closely you will see that I got the passenger side speaker a little farther forward than I liked but I can not hear the difference. The nice part about doing it this way is you can mount your passive crossovers on the 6x9 and just run wires to the mid. I replaced my 6x9s and tweeters at the same time so my woofer and mid range crossovers are mounted to the cage of the 6x9. I have set mine up using a first order Butterworth crossover that uses a capacitor and inductor.
