I am happy to say that adding the jumper from pin 37 to pin 33 on the Scosche harness has resolved my backup camera issue.

Also, Scosche will be updating this kit to include this fix going forward. If anyone has this issue one the meantime, you can either call Scosche or add the jumper. When I do the writeup on my install I will provide additional details.

Glad to see Scoshe working with customers and fixing things like this. That's very good to see. Every new product will have bugs especially one that is as integrated as this one is. A manufacturer answering questions and offering up actual solutions and going so far as to update their kits going forward is kinda rare these days. Kudos Scoshe.

Hey guys, new here. I am buying this soon. Been waiting forever. Question I have a 15 xl. Running a h660 as processer atm. Going to buy a pioneer or Jensen to fit in this bad boy. Both come with a discounted or free back up camera. Should I keep the h660 with the aftermarket radio? Also is it easy to run a backup camera? Or do the xl's have the wiring etc.

I believe you are better off running the camera wiring if you don't have an oem camera. I could be wrong though. In order to use the camera output from the dash kit you would need the factory parking aid module (PAM).

Also, you can use any camera you can mount. You don't have to get the expensive oem style.

I just saw the Metra Kit pop up on eBay yesterday, I'm curious what folks on here think of Metra vs. Scocshe. I would really like iDatalink to come out with one (as people have said before) that has the HVAC *** controls, I'm still iffy on the touchscreen controls.

They're both usually pretty similar in quality. It has been my experience tho that Metra's products seem to be a little better quality but it's more splitting hairs tho. Scoshe does make good stuff and I have used a lot of their products over the years with no problems. Judging by that picture tho, the Metra does look a little better. Hard to tell tho.
