Default From Ram to Ford

Hello, name is Mike from the northeast. Long time Ram owner(two 4th Gen.) and now first time Ford owner. Picked up a loaded f150 XLT matched with the 5.0L 3.55 locking rear. Tested a 2.7l ecoboost in Lead foot but the mid range in the 5.0 is what did it for me, plus the blue lightning is just crazy to look at. Cheers to a awesome forum and happy new year to all.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Actually wanted a Lariat SuperCab in blue lightning but those are very rare bird. Dealer had this one and fell in love with the cloth sport seats and all the other options it had. Seems to sit a little higher than the stock Ram 1500 Sport and while I didn't mind the dial shifter it's pleasing to get back to a console shifter. With limited wheel time this 5.0 Coyote seems more responsive than the hemi's I've owned. Hoping for a pain free relationship for the next 5yrs.

Congrats and welcome! I guess depending on what year your Rams were, how is the 10 speed in your F150 compared to the 8 speeds in the newer Rams? My buddy has a '14 Ram 1500 and that transmission is SMOOTH! Between the transmission and that powerful HEMI, the truck seems really nice. Just wish there were less electrical issues, but oh well.
