Default OK, here we go

Hi to everybody. Just picked up my first F-150. 300 straight six, 4 speed OD. $500 bucks. It's was sitting in the guys back yard for 4 years. Don't know why. I got in, started it up and drove off. On four year old gas no less. Just a good truck I guess. Yeah, it's filthy and needs some help. Still...

Wait... you have to have money!?! ha, ha Anyhoo, I agree. It's always fun figuring a car out. And yeah, even better if you've got money. But I've got the truck and that's half the battle. Now comes the figuring. And then the money

Thanks for the reply

Hey everybody. First question. I've got a few problems to work out and need to find the best/cheapest place for info. I've got a few wiring issues (won't turn over with the key and a w/wiper issue) and a problem with the heater. (a vacuum actuator problem under hood and fan only blows on high. Resistor block there I guess) Anyway, where's the best place to get detailed info? A good motor manual or??? And which one's best?

Thanks!

It's an '89 XLT Lariat. 4X2 300 ci, 4 speed OD. Thanks bobkyle2, I'll ask those questions on the right section. So far all the problems seem to be fairly simple. Things like wiring diagram for the ignition switch. Vacuum line layout for the heater/AC controls, etc. Hopefully it won't be too much trouble.

Thanks again
