New Ford guy from NJ!
So far so good! Biggest reason for the switch was the cab size. I had a double cab, but my kids outgrew it. Really enjoying the truck so far. Rides smoother than the Taco did, but its also brand new vs. 7 years old. I really love the extra room it has. I do a number of trips to NC every year, fuel mileage seems to be a fair bit better than the Tacoma also. Time will tell, in 7 years and 124,00 miles, I didn't have a single issue with my Tacoma. Just routine maintenance. Hoping for a similar experience!
That's a nice report on the Tacoma; hope you get the same great history of ownership with your new F150. Aside from the truck itself, the one thing the impressed me a lot - based on historic experiences I had years ago, was the positive dealer service in my 2 short visits. Part ordered, replaced 2 days later, in-and-out in a few minutes, not hours and no hassle.
I will say the overall buying experience was great. I’ve bought and sold/traded a lot of cars in my time. This one was in the top three. Sales manager was t pushy at all other than obviously wanting to sell a vehicle, F & I asked once about an add on, I said no, and that was it. Didn’t ask about anything else to add on. From test drive to out the door driving away was a shade over 2 1/2 hours.

Given you've been with your Tacoma for the last 7 years, technology has greatly evolved. Check out some tips I posted to other members on programming some awesome and custom features onto your truck:
----------------
FYI, Livinitup has all of us covered with FORScan programming and his excellent spreadsheet covers anything and everything. However, the main programming features done by a lot of us was very strategically placed on PAGE 1 - see the post below with his link.
TIPS: Don't forget to BACKUP-BACKUP-BACKUP before you start programming so that if something goes wrong, you can restore the files in just a few minutes.
Also, if at all possible, buy the cable OBD connector which offer faster and more stable connections and try to avoid the Bluetooth units. This one from Amazon worked flawlessly for me:
