Lightbulb need help

I have 1992 f150 xlt the right power window will not go up or down so I took the door panel off and I can help and it will go up and down the motor sounds strong My question can you change the gears or do you need to change the whole motor assembly also is there any tip that I should know to change this out

Welcome to the site! You can change the motor or the regulator but you can't change the gears. If the motor is making a grinding noise, as the Ford window motors do when they go bad, then it needs to be changed. Just make sure it is the motor and not the regulator.

Sean and I seem to have difficulty in understanding each other, private joke, so I will ask him. Sean, back in the mid 80's we could buy a clutch for the window motor, has that option been deleted. Guess I know that answer, why sell a $30.00 kit when they can get what ever for the whole motor.

I'm not sure if you still can. The only parts I can find is the motor itself. Just like they don't sell alternator or starter rebuild kits anymore. They want you to buy the whole thing. I saved money lots of times rebuilding my starters and alternators.
