Hi
Hi,
New 2010 F150 owner. This is my first Ford since my 1995 4x4 Ranger, which I still consider to be the best vehicle I've owned. I've spent the last several years in a 2003 Toyota Tundra. We have another child on the way and 2 baby seats wouldn't fit well in the back of the access cab. I had planned to get the 4 door Tacoma, but the price, ride, fuel economy and space of the F150 won me over.
I got the Supercrew in black, with the XLT Chrome package, backup camera, tow package and bucket seat option. It's huge! Significantly larger than my old Tundra - but the ride is superb and I really like the look. Kind of wish I'd got the 'Sync' option, but I doubt I'd use it too much. Also surprised the floor mats are so small. I qualify for the 'X-Plan' so the price and purchase experience was great.
Look forward to learning more about the F150!
Thanks,
KP

I wouldn't call the Toyota's crap. Between the Tacoma I had before and the Tundra, I got about 150,000 trouble free miles over 10 years and spent about $6000 in depreciation, total. The Ford does ride a lot nicer, though - and I think it's a better value than anything I can buy from Toyota today...

I didn't even consider the F150 at the start as it was too big, and the prices shown on Ford's website were well over what I wanted to spend. I was going to get the 4 door tacoma, but the prices on that were high and they weren't bargaining at all. Even used ones were high.
My dad, who retired several years ago then got bored and took a part time job moving cars around for car dealers said I should look at the F150 as it had more room, the same mileage and close in price the the tacoma. I started looking a couple of used 2009 ones and really liked the ride - but couldn't find what I wanted color wise. Then went to the new lot and was surprised I could get exactly what I wanted for not a whole lot more than used was selling for.
It's still too big - won't fit in my garage which is going to drive me crazy from a keeping-it-clean-OCD standpoint, but it's a great truck. Ford should really stop all the rebate stuff and just lower the price. Had my dad not known about all the deals, I would have assumed it was $33k+ to get into even a base supercrew and would have never went to the lot.
