Default Hey all

Just bought a 1997 F-150 extended cab 4x4, 4.6l. Going to check what you guys are using for some performance upgrades and some hints.

Welcome to the site!!

Performance mods?? We're no rookies in that department...lol

You can go with a CAI and if you're willing to put out a few hundred bucks, a tuner is a great performance mod too.

I'm into serious tuning on my '04 hemi ram but this truck will be my offroad baby! I'll be using it for hunting and camping and hauling my quad around. I'm not sure what intakes are the best for the fords and what is out there for tuners. I was thinking maybe a stage 2 intake from AFE and an Edge evolution for a programmer. I'm open to ideas and not hard to get along with.

As far as intakes there are a good amount but I've heard good reviews on the AF1.

And as far as tuners go check out the SCT.

The AF1 intake and the SCT tuner can be bought from www.troyerperformance.com
