Another new guy...
Hi everyone,
New to owning an F-150. I just picked up (no pun) a 2006 XLT 5.4 extended cab ( i think that is what they call it, got two reg doors and two little suicide doors). Real nice truck, real nice ride. Picked it up at a Ford dealer in Dearborn, MI with only 16,301 miles. Was extremely happy with the deal I got but not real happy with the mileage. Did not think it was going to be that bad but I will get used to it or go broke trying to keep the 37.5 gallon tank filled.
Planning some mods, exhaust, tuner, CAI but need the funds first to justify the search for better mileage.
If this forum is anywhere near as good as the Chevelle forum (www.Chevelles.com) that I used to belong to this will be a great experience..
Truck On...

Welcome to the boards. Don't try to mod to increase fuel economy because it'll take you the lifetime of the truck to recoup all the money spent on mods. Modify because you want better performance and you'll be much happier with the results.
