IB Jose: Windows 10 same problem!
I had my laptop professionally ugraded from Windows 8 to Windows 10.
Too lazy and too much other things going on to do it myself.
Still fumbling around learning Win 10 so i posted this thread using my XP PC.
Haven't used the laptop for a couple years and even earlier it was sporadic to seldom.
Same endless prompts with Windows 10 everytime i click on a thread.
Tried FireFox and also IE, same ol same ol.
Now What?
This all is referencing my original thread on this annoying problem:
https://www.f150forum.com/f27/quick-...-ya-bs-444398/
By the way i know now why i've been sticking with XP for 15+ years, its simpler to learn and a lot more intuitive.

Geek for hire
Upgraded as in an in-place upgrade where all of your data/software and settings were carried over to Windows 10? Or a clean install of W10 and then your software/data migrated over?
Install Classic Start and the biggest issue with W10 will go away

MR G,
since i seldom used my laptop i had no software, pictures or data on it worth saving plus it had annoying popups i wanted to get rid of once and for all.
I specifically told the Geek squad at BB that i wanted a clean Win 10 install. Cost was $99 and well worth it for me at least.
I hate monkeying around with Windows installs these days as goofy problems always arised when i've done it in the past.
I believe its in classic start mode but after using XP for the last 15 or so years there's still gonna be a learning curve.
All the XP functions (and more) are still there but finding them and remembering where they're at is going to take time.
Plan to make a lot of short cuts on the desk top screen for commonly used functions.
.
I can't afford to play around with PC's these days especially now that the weather is warming up, too much other BS going on.
I should of done the upgrade last Winter when i had more time on my hands.

Jose,
i'm typing this on my trusty XP PC (trusty except for this forum that is..) and still seeing it every thread view.
As of this morning i still cringed at the endless prompts on my Win 10 lap top when viewing threads.
I used FireFox.
Assuming you tweeked something on your end?
Just in case you did, will try again tomorrow morning on my Win 10 lap top with both FireFox and IE and let you know what happens.
Stay tuned as the 'Got It' perpetual prompts' saga continues.

Jose:
Holy Sht, ITS NOW WORKING OK! AND ON MY XP PC NO LESS!
Jose, what did you do to fix it? Please let me and the class know.
I'm gonna guess on the sketchy info you previously provided maybe a corrupted data base file?
As of this morning it was still blowing out those 'Got it' prompts every thread view on my Win 10 laptop..
Gonna try the laptop again tomorrow morning.

It was a two-fold issue.
One, our "got it" exit links weren't correctly tracking the clicks back to the database on 2nd and 3rd page instances.
However, as everyone else that's been on the site has been trying to say--it seems that your old browser did not respect the old cookie tracking to begin with, which is why the database never picked up the fact that you'd been closing it out every time, leaving you in this hellhole of a loop.

I've been as transparent as possible with you in trying to figure this out, please don't call my information sketchy.

Sorry about the 'sketchy' thing.
Anyhow all's well that ends well.
Thanks again.
