Sounds like you may have malware on your pc, here's a link to a free program that can seek out and destroy it.

www.malwarebytes.org

I guarantee there is no malware on this computer. It also happens on multiple computers.

Haha, dude, I'm telling you. I've been in IT Security for over 15 years, and I'm seeing this on military PC's that are on a heavily firewalled private national network on multiple machines, even freshly imaged ones. It is not malware.

From your friendly neighborhood CISO, ISA, Cyber Defence (CCNA/CCNA CyberOps / CCNP/ CCIE-Security / CISSP / Security+ / CSA+ ) professional.

So, moving on...

The forum will never ask for anyone to open a file with a popup unless its a link to a google form via PM when you register as a supporting member.

Beyond that, it aint from our end. I'm also currently on a .mil network and have never seen that popup.

Monday I'll try logging out and clearing out all cookies etc since they follow on a roaming profile and see if it comes back.

I'm sorry, but it's funny when 2 IT Security guys go at it. I'll just interject my knowledge as an "operator" since 1976. (Yes, data transfer on ticker tap).

Never trust your operators.

Still seeing it this morning. I'll push up a trouble ticket and see if this is an issue on any other sites.

Hey, we still use tape for our encryption that we digitize with a KOI-18
Easy to transport, easy to destroy (burn it).
