Default Does anyone know how to stop this?

Only when using my iPhone and Safari to surf these pages I am plagued with this pop-up

Followed by this one

The only way to continue surfing is to close the page and start over. Very annoying.....

Thanks in advance!

There is no way to stop it and the site doesn’t care to fix it. This will be soon moved to a different section to avoid it getting any traction. These complaints goes back years. I just found one from 6/6/16!

First don’t click on the ad or anything on the site when this happens.

1) you need to clear your safari history and cache
Get out of safari. Find the settings icon on your home screen. Go to settings, safari, clear history and website date

2) Next, on the same screen,, be sure “block pop ups” is on

3) Next go to the App Store and download Symantec Ad blocker

4) After downloading open it and click “allow” to everything it asks.

I have found hitting the back button 3 maybe 4 times it reloads the page I’m reading and all is good. Do not click on the pop up ad or the cancel button. Works on my iPhone anyway.

You nailed it. It was quickly moved to a different section. I followed the previous post directions and it worked temporarily. Interestingly, it only happens on certain discussions and others are unaffected. There is one thread in particular that is a guarantee to award me with this dang pop-up!!!

Have been to 79 other websites no problem only this one. It has also started on my iPhone just on this website. Apple support is now looking at it.
