just trying to stay motivated.

step 1

srep 2

last and final

also sanded an extended cab surround,
got all the overspray off from the previous paint job

changed the Volant C.A.I out that was on the Harley with the C&L

I also put the Volant on "my big trucks set-up"

It's more of a closed system and will shield more than most C.A.I. out there, also plan on getting a an outer wear to help

Cleaned my lower radiator mounts, planning the radiator mount for the bed

Subscribing to this epic build thread. Harley, keep up the good work and thanks for taking the time to post so many details and pictures. It's interesting for a newbie like me to see all these parts as they are being built. I'm amazed at how you even picked up all the knowledge to do something like this. Good luck and keep it coming!

It looks like a candidate for a roll-over. Drive safely!

Got a good deal on a '01 lightning short block, need a stand in the worst way.

Took the oil pan off, and it looks to be in good shape

Time to start mad scientist tearing it up.

well I'm trying to wait for next paycheck to get a stand, but it's too tempting soo I fooled around with it some...

pulled off the oil pump

had to work the oil dipstick tube out, someone previously had broken it off at the block.

Pulled the pistons and rods

oil pickup

I'm probably going with a cobra Hi volumn oil pump and pickup

I primered some more brackets

Oh havin class too!

Motor Build 101

My aluminum plate came in (covers) won't be getting to that till after I get back from east texas. Leaving at 12:00, had to work half a day.

Painted a mess load of brackets, but didn't get around to taking pics

Planning on pulling the bed off and figure out how to mount only the bed sides.

I'll get some pics, Later
