Why the difference?

I've got a loaner right now from my dealer. 2012 Screw,4X4, 3.55, and the 5.0. The only difference stock from mine, is the cab configuration, I've got a Scab, and the tires, 275/65/18.
I drove it home this afternoon, after putting 50$ of fuel in it, and resetting the Lie-O-Meter. According to this, I got 20.9 mpg on this thing. On mine, I'm lucky to squeeze out 18.5, that's figured by handheld calculator, and turns out .2 mpg less than the Lie-O-Meter. I drove as close as possible to the same way I drive my own, including using cruise.
Now to be honest, I do have a 2" level kit in the front, 275/70/18 tires, lower airdam removed. And here's the big one, a Roush/Flowmaster hybrid exhaust. It's a 3" system front to back, using the Roush "muffler", and a Flowmaster 18" 3 chamber after that. I've always felt I lost performance and economy with this Roush POS, and now I think I've proven it to my myself.
My tail pipes also have more carbon on them than the loaner has.
Does any of this hold any validity other than in my mind?
Very seriously thinking of ridding myself of this exhaust system, and as a last resort, go back to the stock system with a resonator delete.

I'd say the level is the biggest culprit for reduced fuel economy, you have the front end grabbing more air now. The larger tires also contribute a little.
Did you reset the computer to reflect the larger tire size?

You lifted the front, removed the air dam, and larger tires. All of those will decrease milage. Do you reprogram the speedometer for the larger tires? If not, your "lie-o-meter" will not read properly and will show a lower mpg.

You guys are likely right in that the mods I've done have hurt the MPG, but I didn't think they would've made that much difference.
With that 3" exhaust, I'm thinking that hurts as much if not more. Everything I've read after installing that, is saying 2.5" is more likely the optimum size for single outlet, and 2.25" for duals.
I know exactly what you guys are saying about tire diameter. I'm running 32's on my Ranger, and always figure in the 9.68% difference! LOL
How do I reset the computer, or is that something I'd need the dealer to do?
Get a tuner. I have an SCTx4, works very well for more than just resetting the speedo. A custom tune would also improve your economy beyond what you were getting before you changed anything, I have 5* and MPT custom tunes and the difference is amazing.

What sort of gains have you seen with that tuner?
Odd you bring that up, I was just talking to my parts guy today about just that. Is there a tune on that to stay on 87 gas and gain any power and economy? I'm also wondering about a tune for E85 that I wouldn't lose anything there either. Thinking that would actually make it worth running that stuff.

Here's a snap shot of my cluster while running hwy @ 60mph with a/c on, stock tires, no level, 3:31 gear, 2wd, 91 performance/tow tune from 5*

Wow, that's impressive mpg! And you have the 5.0? And that is with one of the tunes that comes with it?
Looks like I need to do a bit more looking into.
