When both of my tanks worked, I'd fill up when the front tank ran out. That killed the front tank pump, so now I put in gas when the rear tank has about 10 miles (1 gallon) left in it.

usually when its on E or less, as much as i worry about running out of gas ive never put in more than 14.5 gallons in a 16 gallon tank

I have been filling up reliogously at 1/4 of a tank for about 15 years now. My wife on the other hand.....not sure if she even knows how to pump gas. Everytime I get in her car, the damn light is on.

About every 3 day's or 300 miles. 100 mile a day commute to work.

Every Monday. I'm usually down to 1/3 tank left.
Wow Pawpaw, my weekly work commute is less than 100 miles, lol.

As far as I remember, I have always filled up when it reaches 1/2 tank capacity!

at 1/4 tank, that was it doesn't hurt the wallet as much.
