I say go for the 250... if you can get enough for your truck to cover it and start your cash pot for the inevitable repairs. I mean, I know he's nearly technically family and all.. but how much do you know about the truck? How's he treated it? How much cash has he had to plow into it recently? Just some things to think about, but if everything looks good then it does sound like a good deal Just ask yourself is it a good deal because he likes you and hopes you marry his step-sister, or is it a 'good deal' because the truck has seen its day...

 

go for it! even if your truck is in great shape, when people see 270k they are gonna stray away real quick, but heck if your at 270k, its time for a new truck anyway
