What is difference between cheap code reader and high price tool ?

Default What is difference between cheap code reader and high price tool ?

I found it from amazon
Launch CReader 3001,here shows $24.99
Amazon Amazon
Launch Launch X431 DIAGUN IV,here shows $549
Amazon Amazon

That price is big difference,how to choose it ?

The 1st is only going to read codes. The second will read codes, do diagnostics of certain systems on the vehicle. Most people will want the first one to see what code they are getting when the check engine light comes up. Honestly, I wouldn't spend the extra $525 unless I was going to be using it for work - then I would look at something that can test the many systems on the vehicle.

If all you want to do is read the codes (and be able to re-set them) I got one at Wally World that does just that for 20 bucks.

The cheap one does live stream data also. It's in the description.

One big difference is how angry you'll get when it craps out on you.

Skip both of them and get Forscan (free) and a
$30 obdii/usb patch cable $30 obdii/usb patch cable
and use your windows laptop or tablet. Total out of pocket $30 and does everything the $500 model does and then some.
