well then the OP better get that Tundra back ASAP

The EB are not problem-proof, but no engine is. It's not perfect, but there's no guarantee that he will have issues either (or that he wont have any at all )

Agree - but they seem to be far more problematic than anything else out there.

Not sure how you're justifying that statement...

^ i've never seen any reports of any issues whatsoever with the 5.0, the 6.2, or VW vehicles, or Porsche, or GM. ever, only the EB.

Research f150 ecoboost problems.... It all the same inherent stuff and from lots of unhappy owners. Darn engine is a ticking time bomb.
So much so that the government was involved...

What do you mean by "Reports"? My best friend blew his 5.0 and I've seen others on here that have blown too. 6.2's have blown and they are a small production in F-150's compared to the other options. All motors have some failures, so just trying to clarify what you mean by reports.

For 2015's? I would think the condensate issue it the most prevalent one and seems to be drastically reduced in the 2015's. I'm trying to find a 2015 that had the issue in the forum world and can only find 2.

I pinged a buddy who is a service manager at a dealer in the Calgary area and other than the condensate issue (pre-2015), they are on par with the 5.0's with engine issues specifically. This is taking in to consideration that there are more eco's than 5.0's sold.

we are not denying that the EB has had, and still has problems. but saying that it has "more problems than anything else out there" is a slight over-statement, dontcha think?

yes the government contemplated a recall for the EB, and dropped it... With the ****z that has been going on lately about the NHTSA not doing enough research on some recalls, I doubt they took that decision lightly. ever heard of the VW emissions scandal, Takata airbag, GM ignition switch... these are real cases of "having more problems than anything else". The EB is not perfect, but it aint as bad as you make it sound...

I chalk most people's fear of the EB to the "Inception Effect". Somebody hears of one problem for a vehicle, then they think theirs is messed up. Power of suggestion.

No vehicle is problem free. And when the vehicle in question happens to be one of the highest produced vehicles every year, there are certainly going to be more with issues, bc there are more of them. I would imagine the % of issues compared to numbers produced aren't that bad.

I survived the ecoboost F150 life for 6 short months. Disappointed from day 1 and my research after the purchase proved I had made a terrible choice. Never should someone buy a vehicle where you have to change the plugs every 15k miles, have to drill a hole in the CAC to evacuate condensate, change oil much more often than normal because of fuel dilution, brake booster failure (ecoboost specific)... It goes on and on. When I bought a truck, I expected it to be like all my prior vehicles and just need basic service every once in a while and have faith it wouldn't kill me. The ecoboost f150 failed me.
From a drivability perspective, i was also disappointed. Power and power delivery were goofy. I hated my 2005 F150 5.4 3V... The F150 ecoboost is now the worst vehicle I ever bought. My V8 f150 is a vastly better truck all around.
