You want to get a Jet ski/boat and you are worried about gas? Sorry to tell you but those suck more gas than your truck will.

True, my jet ski takes 10 gallons, and will be empty within a couple of hours of riding. At WOT it will only last 100 mins or so.

But those are weekend warriors, not everyday warriors like the truck. Had to go Marine on this one lol.

Do tuners really work and worth the money? How do you gain mpg and power in eco mode?

Personally, I've never even considered the POS beater as a daily driver to replace the truck. Yeah, you'll probably save some cash eventually, but you're still driving a POS beater every day while your beautiful F-150 sits in the drive way.

I bought my truck because I wanted a solid, comfortable, reliable vehicle to get me around and do the things I need to do.

Does it cost more? Yeah.
Is it worth it? Hell yeah.

It changes your computer and all that but I managed a 2 mpg increase when I stay out of the throttle.

You're going to be disappointed because the gas mileage is not going to be THAT much better and you're going to drop some thousands to make the switch. Car dealers gotta eat.

I had a Tacoma with the 4 cyl 2.7L engine. The fuel economy was nothing special, maybe 20mpg on the highway. I felt the engine was over-stressed and never operating in the sweet spot for MPGs. A friend of mine has a Frontier V6. His MPGs are below 20 on the highway. Not worth it to trade for one of those.
