Poor predelivery prep? Waayyy back last century, I prepped new cars/trucks for delivery at a Chevrolet dealership, tire pressures were part of the process. I thenk they only do now is to do their best to scratch new paint with brushes for the wash.
It probably says 50 PSI max on the tire. That's what is stamped on mine. Someone saw that and stopped just short of 50 PSI. FWIW I like to run a bit more than 35 PSI. Somewhere around 38, but that is just personal preference. For the tire to carry the max amount of weight the tire is rated for you would need 50 PSI. But that's more than the truck is rated for, so you'd never actually need 50 PSI.

Dealership staff might prefer slightly higher tire pressure for test drives to improve handling and fuel efficiency, or to provide a firmer ride feel that some customers may prefer. I worked for a dealer before i satrted my job here https://domypaper.com/reviews and heard some things about it. I didn't stay there for a long time, it was more like a practice for students, still grateful forthat interesting experience.
