Thoughts on Tires?
Getting ready to put some 275/70/18s on factory wheels. Was really leaning toward KOs after hours of reading here but have a concern regarding tire weight? Love the look, the reviews regarding ride and wear but being 10 ply is a massive overkill for my use and brings with it weight. Truck is a 5.0 with 3:31 gear and although I'm not worried about race stats I don't want a complete slug or constant downshifting issues.
Any suggestions on another tire that is of good quality, provides a good ride and low noise while maybe not weighting so much? The KO is roughly 57.7#

Stick to P tires that do not go over stock size, which is 275/65/18. The OEM Goodyear Wrangler SRA weigh ~41lbs. If you go pretty much anything beyond that, it will be a slug. Cooper Discoverer A/T3 (~43lbs) would be a better tire over the Goodyears though.

discovery a/t3's are a good choice they are a dependable tire, i'm running KO2's and love the look as well i went from 275/60/18 to 305's on stock wheels and honestly they looked great on my old truck i'm excited to put them on the new truck i picked up today once winter is over to see what they will look like haha

Just weighed SRA's in P275 65 18 on factory chrome clad rims 67.5 lbs. so taking the avg advertised weight of 39* lbs the rim weighs roughly 28 lbs. So keep that in mind when choosing tires.
I'll weigh cooper m/s w/studs in LT 265 70 17 on factory steel rims later this week. Should be interesting
