Well here's my take on the two sets I have. Goodyear advertises the SRA's as their premium highway tire. And I agree with their claim. They are a 3 season tire for paved roads they are not an A/T tire. As my truck is a highway princess they are great for me, until winter comes.

The coopers are LT and narrower by a 1/2 inch or so, deeper tread blocks, open side pattern so snow and water will squirt out. The studs and heavy siping perform well.

There is no comparing the two, they are completely different. the SRA's give better mpg, better ride, quieter in the 3 seasons.
The coopers flat out perform the SRA's in winter conditions. Have always ran two sets on my trucks, so I've never tried a true A/T or the new A/T-W's

 

For the OP.

just depends on how you use your truck. I think SRA's in 275/70/18 would be fine. I have friends that run Summer's till fall hunting then they put on true M/T's. There are so many choices these days only you can decide what works for you and your location and use

 

Truth is this truck is a "pavement princess" to use some else's term ��And will rarely see off road conditions. I like the look of the KO2s but was hoping to find something similar in appearance but not as heavy. From what I have read I'm thinking I will be ok with the Ko2 even though I have a 3:31 truck. Not perfect but ok. Heck my days of needing to quick somewhere quick are long over anyway (retired)... seems like the older you get the more time you spend in the right lane any how....��
