1- Get a DIE and cut threads in it then screw on the **** of your choice.
2- Buy a short throw shifter and replace it.
3- Glue it back on.

Does anyone know where I could possibly get a new **** to match the factory piece? Or does anyone have suggestions as to what would look cool in the aftermarket department? I was looking at a skull one but want to make sure it'll work before I buy

How about an 8-ball? I've got a cue ball, pretty comfortable on the hand.

That would work just fine too Sean. Just as long as it's not a thread on design so it'll slip over the splines.

That's not a cue ball shift ****, it's a real cue ball drilled to fit.

I wrapped the shifter in duct tape and forced my **** back on. Works quite well. Thanks for the tip. This way if I want to change it I can still get it off

It actually came on the stick that came with the 5 speed from the junkyard. Paid like $60 for the tranny.
