Default Shifter ****

Hey,
I own a '98 F150 STX. My shifter **** repeatedly pulls off while shifting, especially from first to second. Finally took a look inside it and saw that the splines molded into the plastic are flat and gone though you can see where they were. Looks like the previous owner twisted it off for some reason. I can spin it when it's on the shifter. Any idea what I can use to keep it on the shifter? I would like to have it look nice as to me this truck is new being my first nice truck and only having 97,000 on it.

I wouldn't say so being it's a truck. Just your standard truck shifter with a **** that says STX in the middle of it

Those, plus other options are wrapping electrical or duct tape around the splines and shoving the **** back on, and ... buying a new shift ****.

They didn't have console shifters in the 10th gens. He's talking about a manual transmission shifter.
