Looks similar to my OLD Cobra.I'd guess it's pretty outdated. If you pass thru VA or a few other States they can confiscate it unless you put it out of reach and off. Check on a new one.don-ohio (:^)

Or get rid of it all together. People I know get more tickets WITH a detector than ones without.... You will rarely get a break from a cop if you have a detector in your truck, not to mention anything you have the police have something better....

Not true in my experience........the detector is my forgiveness, since patrols around here have very little forgiveness.
When it beeps,I look down and usually let off the accelerator at the same time.
To each his/her own,but I'll keep the detector for sure. Not counting that it warns you of school buses in some areas, constructions zones, where fines DOUBLE,and emergency vehicles. don-ohio (:^)

You aparentlyknow a lot of people that assume the detector is all they need and is the only form of protection. It is one tool in the system that also relies on situational awareness and common sense.

Also unsure where your data comes from in regards to "rarely get a break" if you have one. Just more regurgitation of other random statements that are difficult to prove/disprove and just as many people could contradict with their own experiences.

Not gonna get in a pissing contest, just pointing out what I've heard from a handful of buddies who have/had them and talking with a couple local PD friends I have. I have no hard data to back up my claim, like 95% of the topics on forum.

Or you could just drive the speed limit or with traffic and keep all of us safer.
