Default Offroading Without 4x4?

Hey There,

I recently got a new 2010 f150 regular cab stx. I want to put some offroad rims and tires on it. I was just wondering if this would be "acceptable" to do seeing as I don't have 4x4. Would I look like a poser or do other people do this? Thanks.

A lot of desert race trucks are 2 wheel drive. put a leveling kit in it and some bigger tires. Besides who cares if other people dont like it. Its your truck.

level it out and no one will know its not a 4x4 without looking under the truck or in the cab or passing you in two inches of mud. one of the nicest looking truck ive seen in awhile is a 2wd 05 f150. if you set it up right no one will ever notice

Do what you want. It's your truck. It doesn't matter if anyone else likes it or has a problem with it or anything. It's your truck so do what makes you happy. This isn't baseball with an unwritten code of rules lol. Just my 2 cents FWIW

Thanks for all the replies...makes me feel better...would a 2.5" leveling kit make my truck sit even? My buddy has a 4x4 with a 2.5" level and it just about makes it even but since my back end is lower because I don't have 4x4 what would it do? Thanks.

Being a 4X4 owner,
the only time I could make fun of you would be when you get that 2 wheel drive stuck, but heck you will be laughing at me everytime you pass a gas station and there I am again getting gas...

See it all levels out, Now go get your truck jacked up and to heck with any one else

You're front end is a couple inches lower as well.

Why not throw in a block in the rear while your at it and have the same height all around as a stock 4x
