My new ride
I have finally pulled the trigger and bought myself a new truck. 2014 FX4 5.0 4x4. Full leather, nav, moonroof. 43k miles. Would have liked lower miles but hard to find with the options I wanted and not from Canada. So much nicer than my 01 screw.
want..
1.75 level kit soon for frt.
Might get the tow mirrors. Not sure yet. Had on my 01.
Led back up bulbs on list.
remove flex fuel badges and put 5.0 coyote badge in place
not sure on tailgate assist yet
Done..
led interior bulbs in and tag lights.

Nice. I bought a '12 2 years ago with 47k on it. Same as you, I desired fewer miles but it's a weekender / occasional road trip truck so I've been happy with it.

Great looking truck, love the color! We offer a plethora of tunes and engine performance products for the 5.0l F150 platform. If you are ever interested in anything of the sort, let us know and we can see what we can do for you. Otherwise, this forum is a fantastic place for information regarding these vehicles, enjoy!

Why not sure on the tailgate assist? Cheap and easy mod to install. The only issue with it really is during winter they can get a little slow bringing the tailgate down But still better than a slab of metal coming down on you fast and hard.

Beautiful truck! My roommate had a '14 FX4 in blue flame and I admit I'm a little jealous haha. He did the Dee Zee tailgate assist and it's handy. No more worrying about slamming your tailgate, plus it only cost like $25 and takes 5 min to install.

Great looking truck. I love that tailgate assist. The only downfall, is when you go to open someone else's tailgate, that doesn't have it, you tend to just drop their gate right in front of them. Done it a few times now. Oops.

I thought about the tailgate assist, but I decided it's not worth it. This tailgate is quite a bit lighter than the Frontier I drove for the past 10 years and I never had a problem with it slamming down.
Actually, the lighter tailgate kind of bothers me. Seems the steel on this truck is paper thin all-around.
